I am moving to El Paso and I need a teaching job.?

My husband and I are moving to El Paso next month. He is in the military and I am a teacher. How easy or difficult is it to secure a teaching position with EL Paso Independent School District? Do you have any tips that will accelerate me into a position or to just get principals to set up an interview with me?

You don't say your experience level but El Paso is open to everyone.  Do you have a Texas license? El Paso has its own needs.  Do you speak Spanish?  Do you have an ESL or TESOL endorsement.  It isn't required for ever job but it helps.  There are some small towns near El Paso, like Anthony, NM, that have separate school districts.  Be persistent.  You may have to substitute for a little while to make yourself known.  Good Luck.
