the mount dandenong ranges are beautiful , lot's of parks for the children. clean air , and great schools , community orientated. artist , singers, and family orientated , rainforest's, and magical fauna and flora . a great place for children to grow up

bondi is in sydney.

melbourne is a great place to live. there are many suburbs that would suit your needs.

Melbourne is alright but Sydney is better you could get something in the Inner west or the Banckstown area for reasonable prices. But property is known to be more expensive than melbourne but believe me theres a lot more to do in sydney and is an interesting place for kids to grow up in they'll have more on offer than anyone else in Melbourne!!! There is probably more places you can go with your career in Sydney as it is the largest city in australia. Schools are good in New South Wales I don;'t know if you are religous but all schools are good!!! If you dont want to be that close to the big city you could always move to somewhere like liverpool, which is a city in sydney on the outskirts its a nice place to live and you can always get the train in to work in the cbd!!! or wherever being that all of sydney is connected by public transport!!

mt martha.

about 1 hour drive with east link to melbourne. nice, cosy town. i love it here. there is a nice beach, tennis/cricket/football club if your kids want to join. also mt martha primary school is great!

Melbourne covers a lot of area, and while public transport is good and the roads are manageable though very congested at times, petrol is expensive and time is valuable so you should ideally look for somewhere as close to work as possible. In other words, find work and then think about where you should live. There are good suburbs and good schools in every direction.

Don't take any notice of the people who rave about Sydney. Melbourne is a fantastic place to live; it's much less expensive to live there than Sydney; there are plenty of things to do and it's a good place to bring up kids.

aspendale is a nice suburb.  schools are nice and close to the beach.
