I'm pretty new at the whole before freezing, snowing thing. All i know is you're supposed to buy boots early.

  1. I am in California and from Ohio so I know cold weather. You will need long underwear when it is very cold, a coat that will withstand the rain and snow, with a lining that can be removed when it's not as cold. You will need boots, plenty of socks. Depending on your type of style will depend if you need a flannel shirt or heavy sweat shirt. We dress in layers back there because the weather can be cold and turn freezing. Also good to carry a change of cloths and shoes with you in your trunk. A hat or ear protectors, gloves and a scarf for around your neck. Keep an umbrella or two. After your there you will add more to the list. If your a woman you will want tights under your skirt or dress and can remove after you arrive at work. You will wear boots and change into your heels after your at work. It is an ever changing fashion go round in the winter. I hope this has been of help.

  2. Ehh, you don't really need like boots in the winter all the time here it doesn't get that bad every year it's really strange in this state. You'll learn. But just basically get a nice coat, sweatshirts, some good pants and maybe some long johns lol. All that you'll be pretty much set. Then if you really need some boats you can go get some cheap ones at like Wal mart. You won't need no expensive ones.

  3. vietriceboy515,

This would depend upon where you will be living in Michigan.  There will be pre-season sales in stores and online now or very shortly.  For casual wear, I suggest http://www.cabelas.com there will be non hunting gear available. The further north or west you live in Michigan expect more snow and/or colder weather to expect.

I don't know anything about this website, but they give suggestions about choosing winter clothing.  This would be the same for work or casual wear.
