  1. I will make an assumption that you are from Eire.  If so, you will have to remember we do not use the Euro here, so there may be a bit of kerfuffle til you figure out how much things are in sterling here.

    As for other pros and cons, I am not entirely sure.  Having been to Ireland in the past, I found it was similar in many ways to scotland.  You may not get the same Guinness here (though don't quote me on that lol), or the same Dublin pub atmosphere, but scotland has charming cities of its own, like Edinburgh and Glasgow.  One con you may experience is the fuel prices here (UK having highest fuel prices in europe alas).

  2. Well you can fit a h**l of a lot more into the car, you don't have to hire a delivery firm, and you get to use your car in Scotland. Cons, you have to pack and unload the car yourself =P
