I am moving to Sydney to study at UTS, help about the area?

I do not know Sydney at all and I just wanted to ask people who live in Sydney what area is the best area to look for rent so that I do not have to spend too much time in Traffic, somewhere that is safe, reasonable price for a one bed room, close to shops, and close to a gym or swimming pool.I have a 21 months old baby, so child care is an issue too, somewhere that can offer occasional care for that time that I am at Uni.Thanks a lot

BTW, what country are you from?

I attend UTS as well, studying engineering. I would suggest that you live near the campus, as the traffic problems are exponential and the public transport is 'ratshi*'.

Ultimo, only 1km from UTS has all the necessities you may require, and is quite affordable. Good gyms include fitness first and PUMP fitness.

UTS is a great place to study. It has everything you may require from child minding facilities, daycare, lounges, TV's, cafes.
