  1. prices range ill give you some australian car sales websites

    carsales.com.au

    tradingpost.com.au

best to look for (in a use car) low kilometres, registration, road worthy and of course a car on gas will save you on fuel prices

    hope that helps

  2. Get to know some basical knowledge of your confused field before taking any suggestion is a great idea. Here is great place to start off.http://car-price.bestips.info/free-quote...

  3. If you're coming over to be a student it is probably pointless buying a car. Melbourne is already experiencing overpopulation and fuel prices are sky high. Melbourne's traffic is shocking. If you are studying in the city parking is around $20 a day. But if you want to look at some car prices check out this site

  4. If you are going to be a student, you will not want a new car, you will get a reasonable car (not flash, not 'cool', but safe) second hand about 10 years old+ (hopefully a good lady has been the previous owner, or a family) from about $2,500 for something that is not going directly to the mechanic.  You would be better spending say $3,000 plus and have the car checked by the RACV (Royal Automobile Club (of) Victoria) a set fee will be able to tell you if the second hand car you want to purchase is a good buy or a bad buy.  Make sure you have a mechanic check on any cheap car you buy or you may find yourself with huge bills for repair and wishing you had taken the bus.  Just like any other country.
