  1. To its people, Barcelona is not so much Spain’s second city as the capital of Catalonia see http://www.spain4uk.co.uk/places/barcelo...

    for more details

  2. Guadalajara won't give you much fun. But you're not so far from Madrid and Alcala de Henares and they worth a visit... or two.

    Barcelona will be great!

Don't worry about culture and people. Just behave

  3. Bon voyage!

  4. be careful !

    people are very dangerous

    don't trust anybody there

  5. Lucky you baby, try the famous " paella " to eat, it's delicious. I think the weather is very hot. Have a nice trip.

  6. You will love the place, the people?, well, they are very open minded, and friendly, just don´t go out at night alone.

And try to stay away from drugs or junkies, its very easy to find.

  7. If you are going to be living in Barcelona on a permanent basis and really want to endear yourself to the locals learn to speak Catalan.  I would definitely recommend learning Spanish first if you don't already, but if you are a foreigner and you speak Catalan people will be honored by your presence, literally.  Catalonians are very proud of their language and culture.
