  1. Yes.

It is a BEAUTIFUL ship and you will not even feel the movement of the ocean because it is so big.

Do not spend a lot of money on excursions. All the excursions guarantee is that the ship does not leave without you when it sails from port of call. Keep an eye on your watch and see the islands yourself. Their private island is awesome. Take snorkel gear so you can snorkel and just enjoy the island for the day. Food is already provided here, or it was when we went anyway.

Get a pre-paid drink card for your child or children. It is worth it if you are going to let them have soft drinks. Otherwise there is punch and milk 24/7 offered at no charge.

Watch you drink budget for yourself, they are expensive and can run up your bill before you know it.

Go to the Purser's Desk and ask them to take ALL tips off your bill. Most of the cruise ship now are automatically billing you for tips and you pay the bill when you leave the ship. Tell them you want to take care of this yourself and they will provide you with envelopes so you can. Now it is up to you who you tip, how much you tip and when. This will save you quite a bit of cash since the cruise lines divvy up the tips between everybody on the ship. We tend to keep our tipping personal between the cabin steward and the waiter's. I think we were the only Passenger's to get off the boat owing nothing. We took enough cash to use for souvenirs and tips.

There is much the children can do on the cruise that is of no extra charge. One thing to keep in m,ind is that the character's will not roam freely on the ship like you would think. They post times and places where you can see the characters and have your picture made if you choose to.

The dinning is wonderful, the food is wonderful and they will prepare anything you want to keep your child happy. Mine decided he loved prime rib when he went. Plus you will have the benefit of the deck restaurants that serve 24/7 and always have a breakfast buffet ready in the mornings. The only time we went to the dinning room was in the evening.

Have a wonderful time. No need to pack dressy things. Be casual and enjoy your cruise. Dress nice the one night for the captains night, other than that no formal attire needed. They do require (ask) that you wear pants, dress (jumper) to evening meals, no shorts.

If I think of more I will add it.

  2. You will have a wonderful time!!  I have been on 5 seven day Disney Cruises, all of which I enjoyed immensely!

Make sure you enjoy Champagne Brunch at Palo's~~ it is absolutely amazing, get in there right when they open and they dont stop bringing the food to you until you leave, whether you ordered it or not!   Make sure you enjoy the Stollen Bread!!  Put the strawberry jam on the bread, the whipped cream on the jam and then the fresh berries on the cream~~  MMMmmm, just makes me want to book a cruise to have that.  Also, you need to try Palo's for a quiet evening without children for dinner.  Again, be prepared to eat.  You order what you want, but they will still bring you what they think you should try.  Chocolate Souffle is to die for!!!  Both brunch and dinner are only $10 more per person, and it is definitely worth it!

Kids will have a blast~~ they have almost a whole deck devoted to them!  You will have to drag them out of there!  There are age appropriate games and activities and they get to play with the characters as well.

There are now unlimited drinks on the ship (coke, diet coke, lemonade, iced tea, coffee, hot tea...)  so you don't have to purchase the drink plan.  There are food locations on deck 9 that serve pretty much all you want.  Make sure you go to Animator's Palate the first night you are scheduled to go there~~ it is the best room (my opinion) on the ship!

While the kids are in the club, make sure you enjoy the adult pool, it is wonderful.  Quiet Cove is a little coffee shop where they had pastries throughout the day (free), the fruit tarts are fantastic!!

The room service is 24 hours a day all you have to pay for is the tip.  The fresh fruit on the ship is absolutely amazing!  It is wonderful!

Once you get to Castaway Cay it is such a sad day since you will be getting off the ship the next day.  So, make sure you enjoy it and relax.  The island is absolutely gorgeous!!  Head over to Serenity Bay without the children.  It is like you have your own beach~~ heaven!  They have Cookie's Bar-B-Que on the island which is free so you can just relax and you don't have to go back to the ship to have lunch.

Well, I have enjoyed sharing the memories, I hope I could be of some help.  The biggest thing about going on the Disney Cruise, make sure you fast for a week or two before you embark.  The waiters rotate with you on your dining schedule and they know what you like by day 2 or 3 and if you order something they think you won't like, they order something else for you also.  You can order anything you want, including 2 or 3 entrees and whatever you want for appetizer/desserts, so again, get on the ship hungry!!

Enjoy!  Say hi to Mickey for me!

  3. take a lot of money because drinks are not free excursions are not free but you can get off the ship for free. take sunscreen
