First off you may want to decide what fish you're wanting to target.Bass,Catfish,Carp,Crappie,Walleye...

I'm guessing you have a tackle box already.

If you plan on relaxing while fishing you'll want a rod holder so you're not having to hold the rod all the time.

There are various baits you will need for different fish as well as lures.You don't need everything all at once.
