I am new to freecycle, how do people respond to a add?

not shure what i need to do to communicate with interested people. do i add a phone # thank you for the help. i want to do the right thing. i truly thank you for your service

On my freecycle group, you send a personal e-mail to the person you are dealing with. If you decide to get together and give/receive something, you would give them the address and possibly phone number at that time. It really is a great group. I have given and received a number of things through the years. Just this week, a man gave me a much-needed clothes dryer. :) Check your group rules or ask your moderators if you need more help. I don't think anyone is going to get mad if you "do it wrong".

You respond to an ad by e-mailing the person who sent the ad (don't respond to an ad by trying to post a reply to the Group).  And I don't think a phone number is needed at such early stages of communication; if the other person asks you for it in an e-mail, you can give it to them then.  Also, you might want to ask about the Group's rules by e-mailing the Group owner/moderator; this would be done by sending an e-mail to [e-mail] (replacing GroupName with the actual name of the Group, of course).
