So i decided i'm going to use Co2 because the prices online show that Co2 is cheaper.. ( or am i wrong ? )

i need to know the basics of how to use the gun..

like how to put in the Co2 and how to refill it ( if they are reifillable) or if i have to buy more tanks.

and i heard of these things called "O rings" what are these for? are they necessary?

i just need to know the necessary things about the paintball gun that have to do with safety, maintenance, proper loading of Co2, etc.

  1. alright....just get the tank filled at a hardware store or feild (you cannot do it by yourself)

s***w the tank into the gun

If you just bought a new gun don't take it apart, worry about it later (thats when u replace o rings)

Put the hopper on top, load balls

    Shoot your friends

Basically for your friest time go with friends to a feild and im sure the owners and refs (and other players) will give you lots of help

  2. 12 gram?...i think those are little co2 cargrages for airsoft guns...not paintball guns

  3. Oh man! You really are a new player lol. For more info go to youtube and search for the screen name paintballtechpb, mike has all the answers.

Co2 is okay to start, but you will soon want to upgrade to high pressure air. The co2 screws into the back of the gun via the asa (air source adapter). It is refilled by a certified person at the field from a larger industrial co2 tank. They are refillable, but every 5 years they need to be retested to make sure that they are still safe to use. YES, you need o rings. They create all the seals that are needed. Without o rings the gun does not work. There are o rings inside the gun that come with it, but you should have extra o rings to go on your tank. That is all I have time to explain, adios.

  4. Co2 tanks are cheaper to buy and sometimes cheaper to fill but it depends on where you go.  Co2 tanks will give more shots when comparing volume of the tanks.

Paintball Co2 tanks are refillable (9oz, 12oz, 16oz, 20oz, 24oz etc.)  Sporting goods and paintball stores should be able to fill them.

O-Rings are on each tank and seal the tank to the gun.  Without them, all the Co2 in the tank would leak out.  They are necessary and I suggest buying a hundred or so on Ebay for about $5 because the cost about $.50 each in shops.

With the safety and barrel bag on, **** the gun, s***w on the Co2 tank, load hopper with paintballs.

With your mask on, enter the field.  When the game begins, remove the barrel bag and turn off the safety.

If you get shot out, put your safety and barrel bag on, hold your gun and hands in the air and make your way to the dead box calling "dead man walking" every now and then.

Whenever you are not on the field and playing, you should always have your barrel bag and safety on.

To take the Co2 tank off the gun, with no paintballs in the gun, the barrel bag on, and the barrel pointed at the ground, slowly dry-fire the gun while unscrewing the Co2 tank.  This will drain the pressure built up in the gun so you are less likely to blow out the O-ring on the tank.  You can remove the Co2 tank without firing but there is a better chance of blowing out the tank O-ring.

Make sure you put 2 drops of oil in the ASA (where the Co2 tank screws into) before each days play.  It will lubricate the internal O-rings.

12 grams are small Co2 cartridges that are usually used in small pump or pistol paintball guns.  The are also commonly used in pellet and airsoft guns.  They are not reusable and are disposable.  Don't use them on a regular paintball gun since you will usually get less than 10 shots.
