I am new to the computer world, and I would like to have your opinion on a backup system called Carbonite.?

I think its  good concept BUT i wouldn't go for it because i don't trust anyone with my important files, i suggest you buy an external hard disk backup to it or apply a raid mirroring concept if on servers , one more thing is that if u upload too much data and you wanna get it back on another computer you gonna be downloading the files, your bandwidth will cost you.

I'm a bit of a backup junkie because I've been through the pain of losing all your data (or music or whatever) and it really, really sucks. Bad. I run backups to an external hard drive, but this wouldn't save me in the event of a fire or burglary. Carbonite encrypts everything and stores it off site, and they give you unlimited space but they are expensive.
