I am new to the nfl and i need a team to root for?

i live in tennessee, i want to root for an underdog team that is just getting good. any suggestions?

while they are all good teams in their own right the Green Bay Packers just lost a guaranteed hall of Fame Quarterback in Brett Farve to the New Jersey Jets, the New York Giants just won the super bowl last year so they will definitely be in contention to defend their title this year. your Tennesse Titans are the underdogs that you should root for during the season. Being that they are relatively new to the .N.F.L. they will be a underdog for a while. hope this helps and enjoy the games.

Your Titans are an underdog. They really are just now getting past the whole Pacman Jones fiasco. They are close and they are really just now getting to where they have a fighting chance this season.

new york jets.  they were 4-12 last year and have 7 new starters ready to make the playoffs plus they now brett favre

Why not root for the Titans.  They are a team you have a connection to and are in your home state.  Follow them this season.  I am looking for anywhere from a 13-3 to an 11-5 season.

Root for the Kansas City Chiefs. Last year they were terrible. They have the best fans an they got a bunch of draft picks so they have a lot of incoming talent. As soon as they get good they will be good for a long time.

Many, many years ago I picked the Cowboys. I was rewarded with plenty of titles and plenty of hate.

Beware. The Cowboys are the most loved and hated team in the country. Being a Cowboys fan-especially where I live-takes guts. And I'm proud of it.

There is no law that says you have to have a favorite team to root for.

Just be a fan and enjoy the competition.

But, a couple suggestions of teams that are contending seriously right now besides the four you listed, are Jacksonville, Arizona, Tampa Bay, Minnesota, and Cleveland.

All of those teams are building good teams and are ready to get over the hump.

It's going to be fun, I can't wait for the season to start.

Considering you live in Tenn I would suggest sticking with your hometown Titans, they are a decent team who is an underdog is a heavily stacked division but have talent to be a playoff team again.  I personally am a Buffalo Bills fan and have some small beef with the Titans (look up the Music City Miracle) but regardless, I would choose the Titans being a local team
