I am new to wakeboarding and i was wondering all the things i need to have such as a board and stuff.?

i already have a boat, and i just need to know lke what size board, rounded or square, what type of boot and stuff, what kind of board, how long and wide? how many fins or what ever that is, and just basic info about the board and what i need to do to keep it in good shape. i wold like to have some good equpiment that will stay in good shape buit that is kinda cheep. if you could get back to me ASAP cause im ready to hit the lake

  1. A good size board for a begginer would be between a 137-140 cm board.(Considerding you weight between 100-200 lbs). The tips of the board are up to you. Rounded tips are most common. get a board with a large center fin in the front and the back. Some board will offer even 3 fins in the front and back. Simply put, the more fins, the more stable. You want to make sure to get good boot bindings that are comfortable and have a good reputation. Go to www.wakeboarder.com they explain everything. Good Luck.


  2. Hey dude it all depends on your body wieght and because you are a beginner, you are going to want a board that is slower and helps you use your edges easier.

    I suggest you go to Balmoral Boards in Sydney, if you are from around there, it's in Balmain. Or check out wake.com.au, and ask there. You'll get a detailed answer.
