  1. Not at all, I am the same as you and have also been called cold, but only in an argument and we all say things we do not mean then

  2. No. It's just that in our society being logical and meticulous in the details of things is perceived by others as being prudish and overly obssessed with knowing the nature of a thing before forming an opinion of it.

I'm into logic, debate, philosophy, and history myself, and I will absolutely freak when someone says or does something I think is essentially stupid and ignorant, yet I have been told by numerous people that I am the kind of guy they actively seek out for friendship and advice.

    shrugs. Go figure.

  3. I know exactly how you feel. I'm kind of like this too.

You're a logical person, which makes you very rational. Nothing wrong with that at all.

I find that being rational is very good at helping you to cope with difficult events in life. For example when someone dies, or you have a break-up, you can rationalize the situation and see both the good and the bad. This helps you to move forward in a very constructive way.

Sometimes I used to think, 'hang on, (whatever, e.g. my gran has died), shouldn't I be crying, everyone else is!', but extremes of emotions, like crying, panic attacks, violence etc, only happen when you let your emotions get out of control and reach a threshold. I imagine that, like me, you have a firm grip on your thoughts. Since thoughts direct your feeling, you have control of your feelings too. This is a very good thing btw!

There is nothing to be worried about, it simply means that you aren't a total slave to your emotions.

Sorry if this also sounds scientific lol, but I hope I've explained it well

  4. Absolutely not. Why would you think such a thing? It may mean that your focus on the pure sciences have left your social skills dragging a bit behind. Is that what you're hinting at? It's all about practice. Anything you spend a great deal of time doing is what you become good at.
