I am not able to dial 1-800 numbers from my BSNL land line phone in India. Any idea what could be the problem?

  1. I think the main problem is that you are asking this question in Yahoo Answers, when you are supposed to pick up the receiver, dial the BSNL customer service number and yell so hard that they come and fix it. :D

    How is the community here supposed to know?

    Their customer number can be found in any of BSNL telephone number.

    If I am not wrong, all 1800 number were changed to 1860.


  2. it is possible that your phone company does not allow tol fre calls, i have used many pay phones that do not all ow free calls call them and ask
