get disabililty or something like that. Or get a seeing eye dog. I have walked into moving cars before do to my field of vision is not so good. And my distance vision is horrible. I have ran stop signs I would swear was not there and almost hit cars head on at night. Walked into other people walking and trip over things and into walls. What do you think? Thanks.

  1. That is not bad vision,  You will not get disability for that.  You have to be at least 20/200 to be declared legally blind.  You could easily get a drivers licence with 20/35. no problem.  You need to stop feeling sorry for yourself and make the best of what you have. There are plenty of people out there with lots worse vision than you.  Sorry.  No free government ride there.

  2. Your eye sight is not THAT bad... 20/35 is an entirely usable vision, and 20/100 can be corrected.  Yet, you report problems that are representative of people with far worse eyesight.

Are these corrected sight or uncorrected?  Are you wearing any glasses?  Are you under care of any physician for your problem?

  3. First off, you should NOT be driving.

Secondly, you could contact the National Center for the Blind and see what steps you need to take to get aides. Also talk to your eye doctor about options you have.
