  1. skateboarding! first practice at your house, and once you learn a couple of cool tricks, take it to school and show off! its more appealing than team sports like basketball, soccer etc. and has a 'cooler' reputation. plus you dont need to be as athletic.

ya btw dont buy one from walmart or zellers or anyplace like that buy them at sk8shops and stuff

www.blackholeboards.com  is the best. they have the most selection

  2. You need agility, strength, speed and co-ordination for all those sports. So I would say to try them all out, see which you like better or what you're good at and stick to it. You will eventually make friends through that.

  3. Cross Country is something you can train for any time. The teams are probably going to start team workouts soon. Soccer, Tennis and Basketball all require you to have some sort of knowledge and experience where CC requires you to be able to run 3 miles. All sports will have practices and training that all take time. I would try CC if I were you. You will meet other kids and get in fantastic shape at the same time.

  4. lacrosse

    period

  5. here's a sport that doesn't get a lot of publicity but it's still fun to do.  Disc Golf.  Sure it takes a lot of practice to get your throws right and to be able to control the disc, and you will get some exercise walking to pick them up, but I wouldn't consider it an athletic sport.  Plus, you can take friends to do it, the discs are fairly cheap ($6 on up at WalMart, Play It Again Sports, or most department stores), and everybody can play.  It's a very social game (good for a date or like I said, hanging out with friends), it can be competitive if you want it to be (try for par for every hole), and it's fun.

Give it a try, see what you think.  Find a local course near you at the link on the bottom.
