  1. Yes honey you are and by the way you are too cute.

  2. Then seriously, do you want the race to be about Beauty Queens?

Cause that's what McCain is telling the world with his selection.

McCain's pick of Sarah Palin as his VP running mate simply reinforces his apparent obsession with beauty queens.

Token trophy wife and now, token female running mate to draw in the women voters.

    Lame

  3. A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

  4. jus by u thinking its a racial matter, further promotes it 2 b a racial matter. ppl r jus saying this election is going 2 b a landmark in history jus bcz, potentially, a black dood will b elected for office. which really shouldnt b the case, we should b more focused on how we r gonna get a liberal democrat back in house. maybe not as liberal as clinton, but i mean whos gonna b cooler than clinton????? a saxaphone playin, bj gettin, pot smokin, professional badass. u ant get much cooler than tht.

  5. Obama mad it that way.. Yes it is about race.. It wouldn't but Obama made it about race.........

  6. Thats what it would seem like if your not involved and one of those people who just votes to your party. But really its obvious Obama has better character. He cares about the common man. Barack is interested in giving citizens making under 200,000 substantial tax breaks and offer them services such as scholarships, job findings and subsidies, health care, and better welfare by taxing the rich a buttload. Obama is trying to help those affected by the poor republican economy. McCain is "helping" the lower class by giving tax breaks to the rich and hoping the money may trickle down, which is illogical. McCain actually said 3 days ago, "People earning under 80,000 a year are probably too stupid to understand taxes anyway". He didn't realize someone from the huffington post was in the room at the time.

  7. d

  8. I'd say both race AND gender, but yeah, pretty much.

  9. sorta i dont care either but mybe thats because i never care unless i get into it. I dont care who runs r county as long he doesnt go crazy with power or mess up our lives or something

  10. You can define the focus. If you let it be about race, it will be. If it is defined as a superficial popularity contest, so be it. If you want to define it based on policy, that's your choice too.

  11. There is some parts that the dems are pushing, the race. They even said something stupid that if we voted for Obama all racism would end. That is what is making people upset. We want to have it where we do not to even consider race, more of what is the character of the person. that equals equality.

  12. Politicians are liars and cheats and this point makes it less interesting to me too.

I know which issues are important to me and my how it clouds the real issues like social security,  the war in iraq, overspending by the gov

on this war no one wants to fund, vet issues created by the war and the gov turning its head to its  duty to the injured vets, medical service.

etc. the real issues not the fact one or another candidate is two or three ancestral genealogy's.

get to the real issues and stop all the propaganda rhetoric. TY.

    cheers

  13. yes

  14. Actually both are red herrings.  Positions on important policies are the most important factor.

  15. the only people who are focusing on race...is people like you...not the candiates..either of them.  educate yourself on their policies and what they stand for. go to THEIR websites..dont believe what you hear on here or in mass emails..then make the choice you can live with. vote. its the only way to change things, and the only right you'll have to complain about things if they dont work out.

  16. First, please get involved in this year's Presidential Campaign.  You may not recognize it as such now, but it is a defining moment in US governmental history, not because Obama is an African-American and Palin is a woman, but because the outcome will determine the kind of country are.

This race is all about quality and character, but race (and gender) certainly play a part as well.

Both old and new media play up the race and gender factors because they make easy copy.  Read widely and often from diverse sources to  get beyond easy analysis.

My personal opinion is not whether I should pay attention and vote, but whom I should vote for.  Not paying attention and not voting are not viable options.

  17. Nope

  18. No, you're wrong. There is some attention focused on race, because Barack Obama IS the first African-American Presidential candidate, and that IS a big deal. On the other hand, some white people are talking about race so much that it's annoying. Race is a factor in this election, and it should be to some extent. However, age, s*x and experience have also been huge factors. So no, I don't think there has been TOO much focus on race, but just enough.

  19. nope. u seem to be out of touch

  20. yeah

  21. That's what one side wants you to think.  It's too bad you're missing an election that hasn't been this contentious and exciting since the 60s.  Tune in!

  22. just pick one

  23. You're wrong. Race has little to do with it.

It's all about where are country is headed. Whether it goes toward the penthouse with Obama or the outhouse with McCain.

  24. both candidates are ****!

  25. You're right about the too much focus on race instead of quality and character.  We have two mediorcre choices, and you should exercise your right to vote, and pick the less mediocre of the two.
