I am now residing in Michigan. What should I tell customs, when I enter Germany what my status will be ?

I might work for Afees part-time, but I dont' really need to, hopefully I can share an apartment with someone.

  1. How long are you planning on being there? If it's less than 3 months, as an American citizen you can be there without a Visa or registering with anyone, so you can just say you're traveling.  I don't really recall them asking what I was going to be doing there going through customs in the airport, but it has been 2 years.

  2. Tell them you're visiting friends and stuff- be honest, and don't look like a terrorist

  3. Just tell them "Drogenverhandlung."

  4. They probably won't ask.  If you have a return plane ticket within 90 days you are fine.

    By the way, the other answer (in German) is probably the best way to stay for a long time.
