  1. There is more to the Irish heritage than celebrities, bands and inventors. In fact with me telling you what you seek to know you will have learned nothing about true Irish heritage!

The best advice I can give you is go to your local library and read up on it, listen to traditional Irish music, the words, the lyrics.

Just knowing Irish celebrities and bands etc means nothing about the Irish culture and where we came from there is so much more to it that it would be impossible to give you this information on here.

  2. We'll the Irish are very friendly people.  They love visitors to their country.  They love american people and take good care of them when they are there.

  3. i have never been there but i love ireland.  i even use the soap "irish spring".  aside from the library, you can also learn more about ireland through the internet.  google.

  4. An irish catholic priest Nicolas Callan invented the induction coil which is used in electronics today.

The irish invented the term copyright, with the monk columbas transcription of another monestries work withut permission.

An Irish monk discovered America (the continent that is, likley he landed in newfoundland) his name was Brendan the navigator, columbus came to galway in ireland to research brendans travels (there is a plaque to this effect in galway)

An irish man invented the submarine

Henry Ford founder of ford cars was of irish parents

  5. I'm not Irish myself but very year I go to Irish Fest in Milwaukee (leave in 6 days!!!!!!)

First off, Irish Music ROCKS! Some basic Irish usic would be Schooner Fair, well American/Irish. Ir you look up Milwaukke Irish Fest on Google and search through some of the groups that'll be there, it'll give you sme good music.

If you're really serious, you could go to Milwaukke, Wisconsin for Irish Fest. August 16-19. There have a TON there on Irish heritage and culture as well as music. It's every year so if you can't come this year, there's the future.

You are way lucky to be IRISH!!!
