  1. Check with social security.  They do sometimes take into account physically WHERE you live when determining benefits.


  2. If you're planning to attend college in Chicago, you can apply for federal financial aid, part of which is intended to help you pay rent.  You can apply at www.fafsa.ed.gov.

    But, if school is not in your plans, then don't do this.  ;)
