The difference between me and them is that the company is investing in their careers and giving them benefits but it is not the case for me. I get about the same money. What would it be the case in 2 years. I feel that I am falling behind especially that I am new to the company and they are already ahead of me. Any idea what I should do and why they are doing this to me.

  1. You accepted a job as an independent contractor.

If you want to be hired you need to talk to human resources.

  2. If you get about the same money as staff, you are definitely falling behind.

You are responsible for both sides of the FICA tax, both sides of the Medicare tax, plus you do not get subsidized health care, plus no bonuses.  These benefits could be about 30% of your paycheck.

Go and find out why they have you as an independent contractor, and see if you can change that to a staff.
