  1. at most schools when u lose ur financial aid eligibility they do require that u pay out of pocket for the next semester or so. what u need to do is pay for this semester and make sure u get good grades, all they want to see is that u are actually serious about ur education and not just playing around taking money for grants just to drop out or fail. to ensure that u r off for the spring all u have to do is get good grades then talk to the financial aid office and they will take u off suspension. its the school that has u on suspension and not fafsa or the government, the school decides whether u deserve to get aid or not. if u were to go to a diff school u would be able to get aid with no problem. keep the grades up then talk to the financial aid department and they will allow u to get aid...

  2. I'm surprised the school didn't kick you out. You can only be pulled out of your suspension by getting a 2.0 or higher this semester.

  3. Yikes Amanda.  Sounds to me like college isn't for you.  Perhaps you should drop out and get a job.  Maybe you can go back to college after you work for a few years and mature a bit.  If I were handing out financial aid, I'd give it to a student who is serious; not someone with a GPA of 0.5.

  4. You can calculate what your GPA might be by "anticipating" what your GPA would be if you made all A's this semester, but you would need a copy of your current transcript to see what your current cumulative GPA is.  It takes TIME to raise a GPA up that low, and it may take even longer if you have a lot of hours behind you... the GPA being weighted more on the semesters and semesters of old grades.

Find an on-line GPA calculator and calculate what you'd get if you made all A's.
