The points needed for level 2 is 250.

Here is a list of what point are needed for each level

Level 1 >    1-249

Level 2 >   250-999

Level 3 >   1,000-2,499

Level 4 >   2,500-4,999

Level 5 >   5,000-9,999

Level 6 >   10,000-24,999

Level 7 >   25,000+

Here is how you earn point.

Answering a question + 2 points.

Choosing best answer for your question + 3 points.

Voting best answer + 1 point.

Being picked as best answer + 10 points plus 1 point for every thumbs up to a maximum of 50.

Logging in to yahoo answers each day + 1 point.

Here is how you loose points.

Ask a question - 5 points.

Receiving a violation - 10 points.

Deleting a answer - 2 points.

You need 250 points the fastest way to get there do not ask so many questions points are taken away. Answer your quota of questions each day. Vote on your quota of undecided questions each day. Give really good answers so maybe your answer will get chosen best answer. Good luck!!!

Others have told you, but I think the quickest way is to vote the maximum number of "best answers" in any category every day.  Then just pick some  categories and answer questions for a few hours and you'll be there quickly.  You can be at 132 by the end of the day by voting on best answers (20 points per day for level one).  If you have questions, don't ask anymore till you reach level two.  Then-- if I did my math right, answer 94 questions today--or vote or 20 more tomorrow and answer 74; etc.  Oh-another thing--if you're good at particular categories, go back and answer old questions that others have missed.  I think we miss a lot of U.K. questions that are posted at night.  That makes it easier to get "best answer."  Good luck and have fun.

Answer lots of questions. Preferrably ones you know? You shouldn't go around and say 'Idk' to things you don't know. That just inconveniences others..
