i live in ahouse that has my name on the deed but my father has the morgage in his name i pay the morgage can i claim the interest on my tax return?

  1. If no one else is claiming it and you paid it using the property for your personal use then generally yes but I would have the bank put the year end interest paid statement in your name as well.
