ITs gone to a stage now that i am nodding to sleep sitting up. I am not anaemic, I have had a good sleep, I am not working so its not over exertion. I have eaten, I am drinking water.....etc etc.

This is my 3rd pregnancy and I have never experienced tiredness like this before.

I have 2 little boys that are as good as gold but still need caring for and I just want to sleep. Thankfully they love curling up beside me for cuddles most of the time though. Plus I have house to tidy.......groan! I just have no energy!!! zzzzzzzzz

  1. Oh jeezo its so horrible when your just so exhausted.  I used to go for a nap as soon as I came home from work I was so tired and i had my little boy to take care of.  I would fall asleep sitting up on the sofa :( It wasn't like that with my 1st lol.  It wore off after a few weeks but it was awful  to start with because I was used to being so active and it was then a struggle to get off the sofa...if I could have rolled off it I would have :)

    Congratulations though

  2. i had that with my 1st ( a girl) i couldnt help but doze off all the time! even if i went to bed early, id still go down stairs about midday after a huge lie in and drift in and out of sleep.and finding the enrgy to clean, to have a shower, to get out.... it was hard going! It did go away though after the 1st trimester i had bundles of energy. but as you know from having 2 already... towards then end you feel it again!

Good luck with the pregnancy i hope you have a peaceful one! x

  3. this is normal just relax as much as you can and it will pass in a few weeks

  4. sounds normal to me! I was the same that far along also, plus dont take this wrong! but your older now and this is your 3rd pregnancy so it will take its toll on you more, and then having your 2 boys to look after will also make you more tired!. just enjoy the naps with your boys!

  5. Hi,

I was just like this when pregnant with my second son, I would sleep all night then doze off all over the place for most of the day.  Its normal, sleep when you need to, this stage will pass by the time you get to the second trimester.  Best of luck with the rest of your pregnancy, I hope both you and your child are happy and healthy. X

  6. I'm currently 7 weeks pregnant with my first and I'm COMPLETELY exhausted. I had assumed all pregnancies were like this....lol. I have a 10 second attention span and I just want to sit around and do nothing. Can't even find the energy to eat. Urgh...how long will this last?

  7. I'd say it's probably just normal pregnancy tiredness, maybe you're having a girl this time! I'v been exhausted this time when i wasn't during my first pregnancy. If you're concerned, I'd mention it to your doctor - it may be a symptom of something else.

  8. Each pregnancy is different so you cannot compare to others. This doesn't seem like there is anything wrong, you are just experiencing things differently this time. Good luck.

  9. When i was pregnant with my little girls i never really felt tired until later on during pregnancy but when i fell pregnant this time from the very beginning (about 5 wks) all i felt was tired all the time. This is my 3rd pregnancy also. It made me convinced i was having a boy but found out im having another little girl so i'm not really sure why. But just so you know i felt exactly the same and still to this day feel tired all the time and now i'm 33 weeks.
