  1. i recommend more because you'll be getting more high school credit

  2. my teacher told me that guidance counselors recommend no more than 2 AP classes per year. Anything more will be overwhelming. So you're good.

  3. I took AP Human Geography sophomore year and I got an A in the class and a 3 on the test. It wasn't that hectic for me. Last year, my junior year, here was my schedule and grades and AP scores:

AP Calculus AB (B and a 5 on the test)

    Computers/Drawing I (A)

    American History Honors Gifted (B)

AP Psychology (A and a 5 on the test)

AP English Language (B and a 3 on the test)

AP Chemistry (A and a 5 on the test)

In addition to the classes, I was on an all-star cheerleading squad, as well as my school's Varsity cheerleading squad. I would stay after school until 4 and then I had practice everyday from 4:30 to 9. It was hard, but I think I pulled through pretty well this year. I was also involved in clubs. I think you should take more than one AP class. It will definitely benefit you in the long run. It may seem like h**l during the process, but once it's over, you'll look back on it and be thankful you made that decision.

Hope this helps and good luck :)

  4. It really depends on your personal abilities and how challenged you want to be.  AP classes are more challenging than regular classes (obviously), but not impossible.  Don't take AP classes that you really aren't interested in just to take more.  I took 2 AP classes my junior year and found that to be a good amount.  If your other classes are all easy (ie: electives, band.. etc.) then take more.  Just remember that you'll have them for a whole year, and they will demand more than your previous classes have!

  5. hmm.i would take more

im thinking of taking 3 for my junior year.

  6. It really depends on you.  If you're extremely involved in sports or clubs, you may only have time for 1 AP class, and the same is true if you have a job or other commitments that occupy your time.  But if you have the time I recommend you take 2-3 AP classes Junior year.  It depends on how much time you have and most of all, if you're willing to do the work.  And different AP classes have different workloads.  You don't want to take 3 AP science classes or 3 AP social studies classes, you'll die mentally, and possibly physically.  I took AP English Language and Composition, AP Biology, and AP US History, and the workload was manageable.  But I'm also involved in just a handful of activities outside of school, so I have the spare time to invest in 3 classes.   But anyway, talk to your counselor, friends who have taken the classes, and the teachers who teach them, drop them an e-mail and find out what they're like.  After, ask yourself, am I honestly going to do the work, if not sick with the 1, but if you feel you can handle it, take a second or third class, especially in something that interests you.  Do not take an AP class for the sole purpose of having your transcript say AP.  You'll just want to take your pen and shove it through you eye(cough cough US History cough cough). If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
