  1. I'm with you on this one! One thing and the first thing, is to ask yourself how many of those little toys with all the pieces they need to have. Kids are way more (excuse me, become way more) creative when they have just a few special toys. If you just can't get rid of some, at least put some away for a while- like in a storage tub in the garage and cycle the toys out. Parents have been doing that for years, and it works great. Remember, ziploc bags and clear storage containers are your best friends! I keep my 2 and 4 year olds toys out of reach on top of their closet shelf all packed up. They must request a toy- one toy at a time, and then clean it up b4 they can have another. I'll be doing this until they can responsibly pick up after themselves! Good luck!

  2. Hi,um..Maybe your chils a boy/girl,buy something suitable for him/her(maybe a cardboard or something like that),One for the big toys, soft toys, small pieces,or something...and heres a tip,use a small word printer machine to print out the categories...hope this helps...

  3. get those plastic bins with the lids...you can get them at like walmart, target, etc, or at a national wholesale liquidator.  they range in sizes from HUGE to smaller than a shoe box.  they are really great for organizing toys/little parts and pieces.  my mother used to run a day care out of our home and that is what she did.  worked great!!

  4. I use ziplock bags of various sizes to store some things and I buy inexpensive plastic containers for other items.  I have also used old shoe boxes to store toys.  And, I try to encourage my son to get rid of things he no longer plays with...afterall (smile) those are "baby-toys" anyway.  Good-luck!!

  5. the little pieces could go into a ziploc bag and then you could teach your child to place the little toys in the bag and the larger toys in a toy bin/chest or whatever you use to store your child's toys when not in use.

  6. Have 2 boxes.

1 for the main toys, and one for all of the little pieces, to be more organized.
