  2. There are different types of residency in Cuba.

    A temporary residency for one year is  granted to people with a Cuban work permit , also for special reasons such as

    medical tourism, volunteer work, students etc.

    For a permant residency you must already stay in Cuba , be

    married to a Cuban citizen , prove that you have work or a an income of at least 1000-1200 $ . Make a bank deposit of

    5000 cuc to proof your solvency. Pass a medical examination.

    A normal tourist visa is valid for 30 days with a possible extention to 60 days.

    For Canadian citizens a tourist visa is valid for 90 days and an extention to 180 days is possible, but you must have the Canadian nationality.  read more :
