I eat under 1000 calories a day and exercise, but I can't seem to lose the weight. I have gone to my doctor and had blood tests for everything and nothing is abnormal. Thought maybe my thyroid was out of whack, but that's not the case. Anyone else been through this or know what I can do?

  1. Why don't you join Weight Watchers. I have never seen anyone unable to lose weight on their program if they follow it and do enough exercise. Eating less than 1000 calories a day is not a good plan. You're putting your body into "starvation mode" where it wants to hold onto every calorie. Go to the Weight Watcher meetings and you'll get lots of tips.

    Good luck!! : /

  2. I would suggest a cleansing diet. I lost 12 pounds in 9 days and then 28 pounds in less than a month. I also lost a lot of inches too!   I learned that cleansing will help the body get rid of toxins.  Toxins come from a lot of things like fast food, pollution, food additives and preservatives and lots of other things.  The toxins get stored in the fat in our body.  To get rid of the fat, we have to get rid of the toxins by cleansing the body.  This made sense to me and I decided to try a cleanse program and it worked.  The weight came off fast and this kept me motivated to keep going, not like other diets where the weight loss it too slow. I did Jenny Craig, Weight Watcher and Medifast.  If you want to learn more call the toll free number 1-877-587-4647 or check out the website.  This was the first time I ever did a cleanse, it was easy and I feel better.  Good luck whatever you decide to do!  http://diet4cleansing.com

  3. Here are some things to consider:

-Do you get enough sleep? People who don't get enough, or sleep too much hold 124% more fat than people who do get enough, because your body is holding on to fat for energy.

-With the little amount of calories you get, what are you getting it from?

Just because you get under 1000, doesn't mean you'll lose weight.

Ex: If you got 950 calories from a Big Mac and a milkshake, you wouldn't lose as much compared to getting 950 cal.from fruits and veggies.

-What time of day you're eating

If you eat before you go to bed, you're bound to hold whatever nutrients your body can get. If you only eat once or twice a day, your body will go into starvation mode, thus slowing down your mutabolism, making your body hold on fat, etc.

    -Your body frame

Maybe your not overweight. You have to consider your bone size, body frame, and muscele mass. Especially if you're excersizing!

    -Water weight

Drink lots of water to get rid of water weight, and also sweating will help too.

  4. drink alot of water and veggies maybe do taebo or walking aorund can help alot

  5. East six small measl throutout the day rather then thee big ones....dont east after 6 pm ,,,,,,,and drink losts of water ....and NO juice or caffine then  exersise with Jack http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKCGe2Ezr...

  6. 1. Don't eat under 1000 calories. eat maybe 1.2k a day.

    2. Eat fruits and vegetables and increase the amount of fibre intake in your body this will make you burn calories faster.

    3. Instead of 3 large meals in a day eat 5 small meals. Whole grain is important in one of the meals.

  7. your metabolism needs a lot of time to adjust. maybe your just being impatient.

i know it's stressful, but don't give up.

perhaps try eating more fiber and taking a lot of vitamins (added to the exercise and calorie count)

good luck,  i hope you get good results.

    =)

  8. Stop counting calories!!!!!!!!!!! If you don't eat a balanced meal three times a day and you exercise too much, your body will store everything it receives. You're backwards. More balance with more food and less exercise. Fourth grade health class. Read a book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. 3500 calories adds up to about 1 lbs...exercise more than your eating in calories and you'll burn up the food and weight you put on. im in the same boat but im eating around 700, i know crazy, but its all healthy and very filling. special k cereal, rice cakes, yogurt, special k bars, FROZEN fruit, oatmeal, gum when i need something sweet, pom wonderful in my water  and chicken/fish/turkey is mainly my diet with an hour of exercise as soon as i wake up to kick start my metabolism, i also drink all water
