i am owner of my yahoo group......can i send mail as owner ???

how????

so when they receive my mail , the group name should comes in there inbox ...

  1. That's what Group messages are all about. Just look for the commands box to the left of your group description and hit the button marked "post." A message form will appear and you write it just like an e-mail. When you hit "Send," it goes out to all the members who have chosen to receive mail. In the bottom left corner of the message form, you'll see a box marked "Send as Special Notice." Check the box and the message goes out to everyone except those who checked the "web only" box when they joined.

    That's important because people who belong to a lot of groups tend to set their e-mail preference to "Special Notices." That way, they get the messages that you feel are important without cluttering their inboxes.

    And yes, the header will contain the group name.


  2. even if you're an owner, your e-mail address is what will appear when you post. the only time the group address will display as the sender is when an automatic file goes out or calendar reminder. when you receive mail, the subject field will have the group name example "(group_name) New Member" but the sender will be the address which is  connected with the group.

    to send a post (e-mail) to members, you'd send it to the posting address of the group (which is located at the bottom of the group if you're unsure what it is)
