My friend will be turning 30 in August and I want to throw her a great party. Most of us in this group of friends are married w/kids, but we try to stay "trendy". She is a hair stylist, two kids, and lots of fun. Any great suggestions on fun themes and party ideas would be great~thanks so much!!

  1. Pick some board games! Like Pictonairy or even better Dirty Minds (naughty questions with straight answers) ......you could twist the game by making every one who gets the answer wrong to have a huge swig of their drink..... that way you will be happy drunk and then after the kids are asleep head out to a pub.....

Have done this a lot of time and its crazy fun esp the board games.!!!

Or if you guys are James Bond fans.....have a james bond bash... everyone dress as if they were out of a bond movie... and some rules... (use small glasses)

    - everytime You hear the word "James Bond" in the movie...bottoms up on ur drink

    - everytime you hear "007"  take a swig of a drink from the person standing closest to u...

Hope u have lots of fun

  2. Trivia game, to find out just how much her friends know about her in a good way. Make up questions put them in a hat and pass around the room last one left wins. For a theme try to have all the moms dress up as a TV sitcom mother. You did not state if she is single or married, if married have the men dress as the matching father to the sitcom mother. Also you can make a poster with all historical events that occurred on her birth date every year since she was born.

  3. The 30th is the big birthday for doing "Over the Hill" parties. The joke is that she isn't REALLY over the hill, but people under 30 think she is!

You could also do a decade party, party-ing like it is 1978.

    Good luck!

  4. Maybe have everyone bring 30 of something, like 30 hairpins or 30 dollars or something like that.   Maybe something to do with hairdressing.   maybe having goofy wigs....

Or you can throw an 80's theme party where everyone dresses up in 80's attire and you have 80's music and movies!

  5. We always throw a party for family on any of the BIG birthdays, For my sisters 30th we threw a toxic bd party, we all wore surgical masks, gloves and protective gear. The cake was a slime cake (Jello thickened up than poured on top) and one of my nephews dressed up like death and escorted her to the house. My Brothers 40th we threw a funeral, My other sister we had a 50's retro party, me and 2 other sisters dressed up like a girls singing group and sang some of my sisters favorite songs from the time.

  6. Omg! Do a s*x toy party! Then go out afterward. I had one of those parties and it was a blast..we all drank too and that made it even more fun! There are a few to chose from, they will come to your house and set it all up for you and you get free stuff for doing it. Theres one called "Surprise parties" and another called "Pure Romance" Good luck!

  7. Depends what you like doing and what's available.

There are river or harbour cruises in a few cities around.  They could fun.

In my city there are entertainment (theatres, cinemas, picnic and outdoor areas etc) / dining areas.  Every Friday and Saturday night there's salsa dancing which is a hoot!

A restaurant or bar, a hipper one rather than the just legal drink to get drunk bingers.  Maybe somewhere Greek or Italian or such where you can order drinks  but get some tapas (finger food).

  8. Have a luau party theme, it's fun for adults and kids http://www.pinatas.com/Luau_Party_Theme_...
