  1. I will tell you from a truck driver point of view. It is not a good idea to do that. The first reason is that it is stupid, dumb, crazy, and just plain nuts. Yes you will make the driver very mad, not just because your that close but it is because of your safety. If the driver had to hit the brakes for any reason you would probably hit and go under the trailer, that means that you would be decapitated. And the fine for tailgating is not cheap in most states. If you think about it the average reaction time to hit the bakes is about 1.5 seconds, that means you will travel about 120 feet before you even hit the bakes. And as far as reaction time and stopping distance for a fully loaded truck it is a lot greater If you would like more info about reaction time and stopping distance I put a link for you. And there is a video on YOUTUBE that has a truck that rear ended another truck that the driver was killed in. And that was in a semi-truck just think what it would do to your car.

  2. First of all it's DRAFTING!!!! not drifting. Secondly you need to be 10-20 feet behind a truck, third if you get that close you'll have a very unhappy trucker in front of you. Really it's very dangerous. You can't see and a sudden stop by the truck will leave you DEAD.

  3. well thats stupid.. if ur going on a cross-country road trip you most likely wanna see the scenery and check out new places.. if ur in a hurry take a plane and i highly recommend not using that technique if ur family is in the car ur f-----

  4. whatever you feel comfortable with just hope the trucker won't break check you.
