  1. Get Minnie ears for girls, and mickey ears for boys.

You can find them cheap at party stores. (iParty probably)

Like 8 years ago I had a Minnie Mouse Party and my Mom made me a cake that was three cakes. Two smaller circular cake pans for the ears, and then a large circular cake pan for the head. You can buy colored frosting dye and decorate it anyway you like. Mine was pink with green eyes and red mouth.

Sorry, I don't have any game ideas. I always did simple crafts at my partys.

  2. One idea for games could be to split the children into groups and give each group an easy jigsaw puzzle (Disney characters) and having prizes for finishing first. :-)Awesome cake idea with instructions.  Also the CD idea is cool for singalongs.  This specialized CD allows you to add your child's name into the CD so now Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and all your favorite friends can actually speak to and sing with your child!  You can add your child's name to the actual CD!  Your child will be amazed by hearing their name 84 times throughout this CD and there are 23 tracks on this CD.

  3. Get a cupcake cake from your local grocery bakery (cupcakes pushed together and frosted as one cake on top); easier to serve & for the kids to eat - and I've seen Mickey cakes ......Get a Mickey pinata;  a bounce house would be wonderful too!  3-yr-olds aren't patient enough to play organized games, and don't understand the concept of a winner/loser yet ........  Mouse ears for favors .... veggie/dip platters;  cubes of cheese with a thin pretzel stick stuck into the tops;  pizza - should be fine for that age!

  4. This site has really cute Mickey's Clubhouse party supplies  http://www.clicket.com/Party-Supplies/Ge...

  5. You need the big black ears for their heads!!! All the characters should be represented some way...Goofy, Donald and Daisy duck, etc.  A Minnie Mouse cake would be so cute since you have a daughter.  Have fun!!

  6. Make everything small and in shape of Mickey Mouse, mouse shape cake, mouse cookies , search websites for games .

  7. For food, I would do whatever is your child's favorite.  You don't have to follow the theme for the food.  I personally feel that why follow the theme with the food when you may end up serving things that people, including you and the birthday person may not like, just to follow a theme?  Serve whatever HER favorites are! If that's chicken fingers, do that! If it's pizza do that, if it's hot dogs, do that!  Whatever she likes and is her favorites go for it!  You can always cut things into little Mickey shapes IF you can find a Mickey cookie cutter!  If not, don't stress out about it, the kids are going to be more wowed with the decorations and the sweets!

For decorations you can do the colors of Mickey with red, black, and white balloons in clusters around the room and the same colors in streamers.

For games, there's LOTS you can! This age loves games!  Some suggestions are:

Mickey says -  This is just simon says, but instead you're making it be Mickey since that's the theme of the party!

Musical Mickey - get a stuffed Mickey, the size of a beanie baby, sit the kids in a circle and have them pass Mickey around to the music, when the music stops, whoever has Mickey, is out, the person who is left, wins.  Just make sure that at the end of the party, EVERYONE has a prize and wins at least ONE game!  Otherwise YOU WILL have kids that are sad.

I would make sure at the start of the games, before you even begin the games, tell the kids there are going to be some winners, but that everyone is going to get a prize no matter what!

You can do potato sack races with old pillowcases, three legged races, etc.

You can do a pinata, get the one that you have to pull the string to open it up and not hit it.  You can find Mickey ones at the party store.

You can also do pin the ears on Mickey!  Print out a picture of Mickey and get it enlarged.  Then make a copy of that picture and cut out the ears and make enough copies of the ears, so each child gets one ear, and play the game the same way pin the tail on the donkey is played, only they have to get the ear on Mickey.  Blindfold them, spin them around and whoever comes closest to getting the ear on Mickey wins!

If you want to play games where there is NO winner you can  do:

Mickey Says - which again is just simon says, but with Mickey.

You can go to the Disney website and print out some coloring pages and have them color some pictures of Mickey and his friends.

You can play find Mickey!  Hide a stuffed Mickey and make up clues for the kids to have to find them, and make each clue lead to another clue, and then another clue, until they find Mickey!

I LOVE the idea of doing the cake with one big round cake and 2 smaller cakes for the ears.  You can even use 2 small cupcakes for his ears.  You can get some red napkins, red plates, etc.  You can get cupcakes and arrange them in a Mickey head.   You can even get an ice cream cake and have the whole Mickey crew put on there, go to your local Carvel or Friendly's and see what they have.

You can even decorate with black circles of a big one for Mickey's head and small ones for his ears.  If you go to Michael's or AC Moore in the Scrapbooking section you will find TONS of Mickey and friends stickers, papers, etc.  There's SO much in the scrapbooking section that you'll find and they're SO cute!!!

For the kids' goodie bags, go to the dollar store, there's LOTS of Disney things there and you can get:

    Disney stickers

    Disney pencils

    crayons

    Sidewalk chalk

    Candy

    Bubbles

any fun little toys you find

The goodie bags don't have to all be Mickey and friends.  Kids LOVE sidewalk chalk and bubbles and they're not going to care if Mickey's on it or not!  Sometimes they have pencils with names on it and little paper pads, you can see if you can find them.

I hope some of these ideas help and that your daughter has a great party, I LOVE your theme, and a very Happy Birthday!!

  8. What about making all the kids their own t-shirts in red and black. There is a great website with free disney clip art..

http://disney-clipart.com/.. you could do Mickey and Minnie and add some kind of slogan under the pictures.. or make enough for everyone to be different. There are limited instructions on how to make t-shirts on this web page: http://www.celebrationideasonline.com/ca...

You could also do some  Mickey themed games.. that same site, under the family fun button, has a carnival party with lots of game ideas that you could easily adapt  to your theme. Good luck!
