I am planning a surprise 30 party for my mom and i need ideas for a theme(and i do want a theme!)Help plez :)?

I have a pretty flexible budget but i need it to be age apopreate for all ages from 1-80 sooo plez help me i think i wana do a 70's or vegas theme or luau but any suggestion plez anything helps any give me alot of deatail!!!!

i think the best theme for your surprise party is homely decorations. but it depends with her personality, is your mom is cheerful, 70's theme is alright. you should play some disco songs, dress up like the 70's.  but you know what, all moms loves surprise party made by her kid. she'll proud of you. just try to make it as perfect as what you've planned.

you could do it on tv /films musicals from the 70's or current topics of the yr your mum was born...look in the archives in your library you will get an idea for her there.

go with the seventies!  You can  download some music.

Some party foods from back then were really  basic

cold luncheon meat - rolled up and buns

cheese cubes, pickled onions and sweet pickles.

potatoe and macaroni salads

and of course chips and dip.

Casino Night!! You can get cards and poker chips and dice and set up blackjack, poker, roulette, craps. And then you can have themed invites and decorations which you can find at any party store. And then you can have everybody dress up fancy to go along with the theme. You can give out rabbits feet on keychains- for luck- or have coins/chips printed with your mother's name and birthdate as favors. Even kids can play games and get into the spirit!
