  1. you HAVE to go to monteverde then go to guanacaste mostly conchal, TAMARINDO(great surf, they give surf lessons too), flamingo(you have to see flamingo's sunsets above the sea), bahia de los piratas(my favorite), visit sarchi, zarcero... I don't know you can do lots of things, and Costa Rica is a small and Beatiful country so you can go from coast to coast very easily.

if you stay in san jose you can go to party all night, see a play at the national theater, go to the malls, I recommend terramall or multiplaza escazú, but most costarricans teenagers prefer Mall San Pedro, go see a football game(soccer for you).

In the mountains, rain forests and beaches you can do lots of outdoor activities like bungee, kayak, canopy, you can get a bike tour in the mountains... etc

  2. Monteverde

    Arenal Volcano Area

  3. It depends on what you like. I prefer the non-touristy places and love the Osa Peninsula.

  4. very flocked with shark slaughterers.

    awful and barbaric.

  5. Pacific coast, try tamarindo beach or santa teresa beach...but still costa rica it's a small country so u can basically travel coast to coast in a short period of time and that way u don't have to stay in just 1 place and u get to see different scenarios, like tropical rainforest, beaches, volcanoes, etc

  6. As the 4th person said, the Guanacaste province (where Tamarindo is located) is awesome.

Great weather, pristine beaches, abundant wildlife, reasonable proximity to the volcanos, etc.

Nice little towns with good cheap food and friendly people.

Tamarindo has gotten very tourity and congested with traffic (especially with the recent road construction) so I would opt to visit there from somewhere nearby like Playa Brasilito or further North like Ocotal.

I haven't been to all the other provinces, but San Jose is a big city with all the trappings (good and bad) that go with that.

In general, the Carribbean side is not as pristine (beach-wise) as the Pacific side, although you would probably think the opposite if you haven't been there.

I also like Guanacaste as it's easy to fly into the Liberia airport and get just about anywhere quickly.

Not sure what medication "•.℮ιι℮™♥" is on (or needs to be) but from her answer I would guess she's never been to Costa Rica.
