I am planning for a road trip in south india using my 150cc bike. i would like to know if its a good idea? will my bike support? what are the things i need to consider before i make this trip? the distance involved is 1000KM and above.

Anyone please suggest ?

  1. Yes you can, however take the following precautions -

    1. Do not allow to engine to over heat.

    2. Travel approx 100 km max at a stretch and give some rest

    3. Carry a spare wheel and spares like - spark plug, clutch wire etc.

    4. Drink lot of water and carry electrolytes like Electral to reduce salt loss from your body.


  2. I had been in the South Indian states of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala, But I don't know about Andhra.

    Your bike can support , you need to take breaks, cool the Engine, There are good mechanic shops along the way and there are cheap lodges.

    Try to understand the important places and plan accordingly. (Lonely Planet guide for South India can be helpful).
