  2. a pomeranian is really cute and small, but if its a crossbreed it may grow larger! A Chihuahua is also a god choice but they are kinda ugly (my opinion)

  3. okay, lets see. a chiwawa (but my neighbor has one and he is nippy and mean), norwhich terrior (a nice small, sweet dog that my other neighbor has), havanese (I have one and she is still a puppy and is playful, fun, loving, great w/ kids and also small), lhapsa apsa, beagle, west highland terrior, and pug (all great dogs).  You can check some dog websites or ask your vet or animal shelter. But although size is important you need to find out the dogs temprament before you pick a breed, and especially before you pick a dog. I would ask around your neighborhood about what dogs people have or do some researcing on the internet, library, ect. Good luck and I hope this helped!!! :))

  4. google dog breeds and check out the toy breeds.

if you're active, i would recommend a papillon.

  5. chihuahuas, yorkies, Pomeranians, toy poodles, dotchsuns, miniature pinchers, pickanese.

I know I spelled these wrong...

  6. Chihuahuas (that's what I have), Pomeranians, some terriers stay small, Dachshunds,  toy poodles and cocker spaniels can be smaller dogs. I'm sure I'm missing other breeds too, these are just off the top of my head.

I would look into this article '5 Tips to Consider Before Getting a Dog' for some advice. http://blog.forrent.com/category/pet-fri...

    Good Luck!

  7. a chihuahua

  8. Miniature Dachshund

    Papillon

    Pomeranian

    Chihuahua

    Pug

    French Bulldog

    Shih Tzu

    Maltese

    Yorkshire Terrier

These are just a few small dogs but there are many more! Hope you find a dog.

  9. Size is less important than temperament.  There are numerous dogs of the size you like, but the critical consideration is how their characters with fit with your desires.  The worst thing to do is to get a dog that needs things  you aren't willing or able to provide.  What I suggest is that you check with one or more of the proffered sites on the different breeds, with a particular eye to the amount of exercise they will require, and their particular educational and entertainment requirements, as well.  Also their behavioral trends.  My Viszla, for instance, has a short attention span and is easily distracted, but also has a strong will and an absolute need to share his opinion with you, whether you want to hear it or not.  Chihuahuas talk all the time, at a very high pitch.  Think about stuff like that, after you're educated, before making any selection.

Truthfully, if you're looking for a pet that's small, quiet and low maintenance, you'd do better to get a cat.  All dogs are high maintenance, and require lots of exercise and good training, plus mental stimulation.  Very few breeds were bred for looks alone; nearly all of them were intended to work, so there are always going to be things they need besides just food and water and love.  If you aren't up for it, find an alternative.

On the other hand, they are excellent companions, loyal and loving and fun.  Just be sure you know what you're getting into before you do, because it's very unkind to get one and then discard it.

  10. I have a West Highland Terrier or also called a Westie. They stay small all their lives. They are good with children. They are great companions to anyone. They usually grow up to about 18 lbs. They are white with pointed ears. They are stubborn sometimes but are great. They don't shed either.

  11. A pom :)

  12. Have a look at your choices.

  13. The small stuffed ones that you find in the toy stores. They are easy to train, don't each much and don't fuss at all!! And best of all, they don't SHED!!

  14. miniature chowawa(i spelled this wrong) some of them can fit in both hands!

  15. chihuahua

    cockapoos  (cockaspaniels - poodle)

    maltese
