  1. Since "911" it's much more difficult to obtain both visas. The 'green card ' does require alot of process.I agree with "indigogirl1976".

  2. It is exceptionally difficult to get either a green card or a work visa for the united states.  I have been through both processes and it is a lot of work!  To get a work visa you have to eiher (a) be a full time student in thrid level education or (b) work in an industry in which they cannot get enough american citizens to work in e.g. doctor, nurse, teacher etc.

A green card is a LONG process involving medical exams, statements of intent, sworn affidafits etc and only a limited number are given out each year.

I would suggest having a look at www.bunac.org and seeing if you qualifiy for any of their programs.  Its by far the quickest and easiest route.

  3. Um seeing as how i live in america i've never had to have either but i would try for the green card. It's usually faster and more efficient.
