  1. Oh, you are so lucky! Went there for my honeymoon, and just loved it.....moved to Cyprus instead though!

All the best, hope your move goes well, and you enjoy your new life!

  2. You lucky thing i went on holiday there years ago and loved it there, it was the best holiday i have ever had, you cant fit me in your suitcase can you!

  3. I am a american and I am here for the next 9 months working Real Estate for the second year.

I get tirde of Nursing, if you go online you can find the  www. mano a mano.com and just see all of the jobs, this town has so many jobs.

It does depend on what your experience is.

I did rent a very nice apt. 1 Bedroom utl all included in a very nice area furnished for $350. But you have to find one on the off season. You wait until after Oct and you are too late.

    Enjoy.

  4. Depends really how old you are and what you know and want to do.  It also depends how you want to live and how much you can spend.  Puerto Vallarta can be very chep or very expensive.  If you are not rich there are many places wight in the town where you can probably rent a room or an apartment that belongs to some house.  If you have more money, you can rent a big and nice apartment.  Ocean fronts are expensive.  We have one beach front that we rent for $150 per day.....  There are other cheaper options.... I think you could go stay at an inexpensive hotel for a week while you find a furnished apartment to live at.

Work:  Its hard for me to say, it really depends what you do.  If you dont have a work authorization for Mexico you can probably work on a scuba boat.  that would be fun. Diving in and around bay of banderas is great.  If you are a marine biologist you might be able to get a job on a whale watching tour.  Check out Vallarta Adventure, they are a eco tourism company that has different types of activities they offer.  The pay is not so good in MX.  Unless you are a salesman and then there is really no cap. For vallarta adventure, expenct to make like $40 per day max.  maybe you could earn more if you get tips.  I really doubt you could or would wabnt to be a server or bartender in MX.  There are way too many mexicans that are awesome at service.  They dont make much either.  Unlike in the USA in Mexico servers are old and professional servers.

If you know construction well and have expereince you can probably applay to work with a large construction company.  There are several groups from USA and Canada developing down there.  I would do research and try to apply in the States before leaving..

If you can get Mexico FM 2 or FM3 which are the work authorization visas then you can get many other different types of jobs.  Real Estate is really good down there right now...

  5. If you don't have a job lined up then you'll be looking for awhile unless you can stand time share sales
