Question:

I am planning on traveling to South Korea and I wanted to bring certain books with me, however...?

I am concerned that these books may violate any anti-Communism laws that are in place. I am certainly no supporter of North Korea, but if someone who is more familiar with the issue could please answer this question: would it be alright to bring a 3 volume biography on Leon Trotsky as well as a book on the Russian Revolution written by Trotsky himself?

  1. heck no one cares! those people try to respect your privacy except a few people including my brother. and if it's in english, koreans aren't as good in english as you think. if it's chinese you might want to watch for those busybodies. and people here don't care about the former ussr; just north korea. we sort of respect ussr and the only communist country we hate is north korea. if it doesn't say anything good about north korea no one cares. if you need help with life in Korea email at
