  1. I'd try to switch her to being an indoor cat, it will increase her lifespan.  My first cat came from my college campus too.  He was kept indoor/outdoor for awhile until I switched him to indoor only.  He's been much easier to take care of as an indoor only cat.  I'm not entirely sure how old he is, but he was over a year old when he became mine in 2000 and he's still doing well now.

    good luck with yours!

  2. Sure, it is.  She may start to come inside more if you want and that's a good thing because outdoor cats cost more in health care.  Btw, mackerel?

  3. Outdoor cats tend to do better once someone has "adopted" them.  They don't live as long as indoor cats (statistically), but can adapt to new surroundings when given proper time.  If you've moving with her be sure to keep her inside your home for a few weeks to get her used to where she's supposed to be.  You may even try to convert her totally to be indoors :)
