I am planning to book a cruise out of Galveston in January. Will we be able to swim in the pool in January?

Is it too cold to hang out on deck? I know Mexico will be nice, but how long will it take to get to the warmer weather?

Only the extremely hardy or the extremely foolish would try the pool in January. The pools are not heated, they are emptied every night and refilled with seawater. The spa pools are heated and very well used.

It's not normally too cold to be out on deck, in fact most of the time it is really nice, especially as you move further south.

It all depends on the weather.  We have sailed in December and January and the weather has been both hot and cold. You will be able to hang out on the open decks comfortably. Depending on the cruise you will normally be in warmer weather overnight.

One suggestion is if your looking for January sailing the sooner you book that cruise the better.  We have a client that wanted February sailing and the ship is full for all sailings.
