I have an offer to do an unpaid /subsidized internship ireland, I can support my self financially for 6 months but after that I would have to find a paid job.

How tough is it to find a job in Ireland. I am presently pursuing my MBA in Project management , but all my work experience is in the field marketing and services and not in IT.

company claims that during the internship I would be able to have a job/alumni network , how is it to use such a network ? I know that these networks work for USA but what about Ireland is it the same?

  1. I would check out the visa situation before you do anything.  Are you entering Ireland on a student visa?  What are the requirements, etc.  You'll probably need a work visa in order to work in Ireland.  Find out how hard it would be to switch from a student visa to a work visa.  Also ask whether there are employers in Ireland that would be willing to sponsor your visa.
