  1. As a Reiki Master and Teacher I suggest students not to drink alcohol 7 days before (minimum of 3 days). I ask they also reduce caffeine and smoking by at least 50% for 3 days and not to eat meat for 48 hours before a class. After the class refrain from alcohol for at least three days. After that if you are a social drinker (not a social drunk) then enjoy in moderation. But remember it kills brain cells and feeds cancer cells as well.

  2. For attunment:

You should not drink 24 hours before, and at least 3 days after the attunement.

    For performing Reiki sessions:

You should not drink 12 hours before performing Reiki on others. You should not eat any meet 6 hours before doing Reiki. But I know a lot of people that don't follow this rool.

FYI: Reiki on yourself is a good remedy for hangovers ;-)

But than again - why would you need to during, even occasionally, if you can "get high" on Reiki ;-)

It feels sooo much better. And you don’t get hangovers ;-)

  3. Reiki Does not prohibits you but is better if you can  discontinue it.

You can learn Reiki, which is a wonderful way of healing ownself and others as well.

if you need any kind of help or advice feel free to ask.

    Good luck

  4. No need to stop drinking occasionally.

The rule is that you do not drink before Reiki sessions with clients. Otherwise, just live your life as you see fit.

You have chosen a wonderful way to help others and yourself. Congratulations! I wish you all the best!

  5. Reiki is mystical nonsense....save your money

  6. Don't' drink at least three days before your class.  The attunement opens up all kinds of energy and you are less apt to tune into it if you have been in another world (booze). In my classes, we usually go to lunch after the attunement so everyone can ground and center.   Reiki seems to give ymost people  a high/light feeling anyway, like too many margarita's.

I had a Reiki class some years ago with a bunch of people that elected to go to a local restaurant where they served beer.   In this particular circumstance the students had a as in "one" beer.At the time I didn't think to much about it, but I don't drink because I can't think afterward.

Well when we got back to the class, they couldn't focus at all  The combination of the Alchol and Reiki wiped out some of the students. They couldn't write their names on a piece of paper and forget about talking all their words were smeared.

AND I don't think some of them remembered the class or anything they learned.

So I say "don't drink before or during a Reiki Class"

  7. No problem with occasional drinking just not within a few days before or after your class. Do not eat meat on the day of your class and do not drink within 12 to 24 hours before seeing a client.

Otherwise just live as you are happy.

  8. It is improper to drink before working on any client, but after they have left, sure!  Why not?  Understand that Reiki heals the healer, so you just may not want to drink!  After our Reiki Share, we always have some wine!
