I decided this year I want to move to texas from massachusetts. With distance as a consideration how will a landlord process an application. I want to simply find a place, pay what they are asking and move in. Are most landlords willing to accomodate that?

To a certain extent - most landlords will want a security deposit, credit check, and maybe a background check.
