Given that it's raining season in Costa Rica I am planning instead for Argentina.

So, is it really a good time to go there?

What should I visit taking into account:

1) I would like to visit some of the natural parks - scenic views appreciated! Don't think I will go as far as the southern parts - would like to focus on the NW and Pampas, maybe

2) Staying in BA for 3 years and looking for the local tips? Where to stay, where to eat, where to go out?

3) Would like some place just to relax - either by the sea (if warm) or lakes

Apart this is there anything I really should not miss?

Is there any airline pass I can use to fly around?

  1. The NW has some pretty good places near Jujuy and Salta, but the Pampa has absolutely nothing.  There is almost no towns or population there.

I would stay in Recoleta or Palermo, there are plenty of great restaurants in any neighborhood at least try Cabana Las Lilas or La Caballeriza in Puerto Madero

If you want to be by the sea, Punta del Este in Uruguay would be a good place in early November.  the weather should be nice, not too hot and there won't be the maddening crowds that start to arrive at Christmas.
