gospel music... i dont have a clue...

my fav shops are selfridges, harrods (its expensive though), liberties, all of camden market is great... umm basically all the shops down oxford street are good and also tottenham court road is a good place to go!

the southbank also has some good and unique shops- as well as great street entertainment (i would advise using Waterloo station to get to the southbank).  While youre at the southbank the london eye is worth a visit!

I can think of two possibilities.

The first is Charing Cross Road between Tottenham Court Road Station and Trafalgar Square (including some of the side streets on the eastern side). There are numerous book shops in that area, some quite specialised.

The other is near Great Portland Street on the Euston Road. There is a large former church on the north side of the road which is now a (massive) bookshop - mainly secondhand, but some new. They have a specialist music section.
