  1. Hi, there are a no of flights from NewYork to New Delhi then to reach New Delhi you can take a flight or bus as Agra is well connected to New Delhi.

While visiting TajMahal you can also visit Agra Fort, Sikandra, Fatehpur Sikri.

If you are staying for 4-5 days in India, go for a golden triangle tour. This tour package includes all tourist palces of Delhi, Agra & Rajasthan.

In this tour package on the first day tour Delhi, then second day go to Jaipur & enjoy the royality of Rajasthan. Jaipur has many forts & palaces & historical monuments, then on 4th day proceed to Agra & visit TajMahal,Agra Fort, Sikandra, Fatehpur Sikri& many other historical buildings.

If you go for a tour operator or travel agent they can also provide you hotel booking as per your requirements.

  2. There are 28 Air-India flights per week from New York to New Delhi. Or you could fly via Dubai on Emirates.

Over the years the Golden Triangle (Delhi - Agra - Jaipur) has made a firm footing on the tourist map of the world. The Delhi to Agra Trip also known as Golden Triangle Tour is the congenial blend of Delhi, the capital of India with its entire historic grandeur and a seat of power since ages, the soft romanticism that can be felt at wondrous Agra, a showcase to a more delicate side of the power and grandeur of the Mughal Emperors and the ferocious royalty of the Rajasthan the land of Rajas and Maharajas.

On arrival in Delhi, check into any hotel and in the afternoon, take a guided sightseeing tour of Old Delhi and visit Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Raj Ghat and Humayun’s Tomb. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, proceed to Agra. On arrival, transfer and check into the hotel. In the afternoon, take a guided sightseeing tour of the Taj Mahal. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

The next morning proceed to Jaipur. En route visit the imperial city of Fatehpur Sikri and you could opt for an overnight stay at the hotel.

The following morning take a guided sightseeing tour of Jaipur and visit Amber Fort. In the afternoon, visit the City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal, Birla Mandir and Jai Singh’s Observatory.

Finally return to Delhi the next day and back to New York via a connecting flight.

However if you are planning to visit in August please consider the weather as during the monsoon season, which lasts from July to September, there can be electrical storms, short rainstorms and dust storms. One must bring fully waterproof clothes during this time. Though it doesn’t rain all day, it does rain every day. Regardless of the rain, it is still very hot and humid.   It is not recommended to travel during this time.

In September, the monsoon season ends and the weather gets more bearable. However, even in the winter, the climate remains rather tropical. The average winter day is around 88.7 degrees Fahrenheit. Thus, it is advised to visit Agra during the winters, after October to April.

During the winter, though at night it can get quite frosty, the days are sunny but more mild, without feeling sticky.

    Bon Voyage
